A Microsoft chairman was quoted at CES as saying “If you’ve got a Christmas with one but not the other, it’s not going to be theirs.” Big words but.. meh.

But today SPOnG.com (an online gaming site) posted news of a circulating press release that dates a Christmas release for “Need For Speed: Most Wanted” - a title for Microsoft’s next generation XBox platform. Unfortunately the site hasn’t submitted scans of the release as proof, and Microsoft is maintaining a “We don’t comment on release dates” policy.

Gamespot’s weekly “Rumor Control” column has the story, and labels it as “Not Bogus”. Here’s hoping.
