So one game that already has my eye with its preshow reports is Peter Molyneaux’s next visionary game, The Movies. I have to admit that when i first heard about the game, I was not that impressed. Now.. im starting to be.

There is a great movie at Gamespot (called official trailer 2) and in that, you see what a wide array of things the people in the game do. Everything from the actress’s wanting a boob job, to the different sets, props, costumes, etc.

Besisdes the “sim studio” aspect, I think this game may be a great outlet for the home-brew cinemaphiles out there. Now, the only thing i can forsee as being a hole, is the lack of support for user-created content (like new costumes.. sets..etc). If they did that a-la the sims, then I think this game would be a phenomenon.

I look forward to the days when I can while away some time watching someone’s movie creation.
