Hapland
June 1st, 2005
You may have come across this before. But on the nature of neat little games, in particular, those flash games you just get so wrapped up in. I present to you Hapland (theres a sequel too called Hapland 2).
The premise, is to click stuff and make the guy escape through the portal. Its pretty addicting.. and quite a challenge.

Am I a moron? There’s no sound and I can’t get the guy to do anything other than wave at me. At some point I clicked the lightbulb enough to anger stick-man, and he smash, but other than that .. he just waves.
Poor little stick guy — so alone and indifferent. I see a lot of myself in this game.
I have to call mom.

Ok. Fico showed me the way. There’s a person dispenser on the right.
This game reminds me of that frustrating Babel Fish sequence from the ‘Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy’ text adventure. Cool.. It’s a nifty sort of mulitidimensional puzzle where you derive where each piece should go, and in what specific sequence..
… but it’s somewhat difficult for us temperamental I-talians to experiment with. You’re forced to start the whole map over just to get to the next step. Serenity Now!
