Wii LAUNCHES! And A Couple Monkeys Have One!
November 20th, 2006
Well, a couple of us did it. We waited in a line all night outside of a Wal-Mart to get our Wiis. Having never waited in a line, it was a fun and different experience. It was cold, but laying in our sleeping Bags, we were toasty warm, even when we saw some snow coming down.
We had the protection and organization of “the Governer” who kept the masses ordely and peaceful with his line and signup list organization, as well as excellent intelligence given his managerial contact with the Wal-Mart managers. It was a blast, and to those who got a WII, congrats!
To Those who DIDNT get a Wii, hang tight. It seems like more are on the way.
I’ll post later with my impressions. But for now.. enjoy these pics, and the slashdot Story.
Thanks Jeff n Kim for making the nerd-line bearable!

“Like the Playstation 3, the Nintendo Wii sold out on launch day this weekend. Unlike the PS3, the launch was a peaceful affair with no reports yet of console-related violence in the US. This may be partially due to the fact that Nintendo promises to have a total of four million units in stores by Christmas, with the bulk of those going to North America.
