post Wiimote Missile

Some Guy seems to have been a big overzealous with his wiimote and his TV took the damage.

We’ve had a few play sessions already, and we’ve seen no problems with the wiimote flying out of our hands, nor with the strap being faulty at all, though its probably worth keeping an eye on it.

It also is very plausible that some active play will cause your hands to get sweaty and a slidey wiimote may fly out. Though again, how the strap broke from this seems a mystery to us. We also don’t trust quite everything we see on the internet, so who konws if this is some attempt to get Nintendo to be liable for a new TV. *shrug*. Just keep an eye out we think.

We brought the Wii home and played it pretty much nonstop for the past 24 hours. At 12:10am, during a slower couch-sitting game of Wii Sports: Bowling, my Nintendo Wii got angry with me.My buddy Troy reels back to roll his ball as he’s done about 300 times tonight suddenly feels the controller slip from his hand. (THANK GOD for the wrist strap right?)Nope. Wrist strap snaps. The Wiimote flies across the room impaling my 60″ rear projection TV square in the upper left corner.Be warned: Sweaty hands + faulty Wiimote wrist strap = broken ass TV.
