Heres the link if you have a crappy browser.
Honestly, we dont know if seeing live action art forms based on SMB will ever get old for us here at Monkeygames. We just can’t help but tap our feet when we hear that theme, and our trigger thumb twitches each time Mario jumps for a coin.
Well done Gorden College Theatre people, your attention to detail was welcome, even if the sound got a little messed up.
P.S. Thanks to Denis for finding this one!
P.P.S. Two Google Videos in one day… HOT!

Nintendo Officially changed the name of the upcoming next gen console. Let us all become “ok” with the new consoles name…Wii.
How are they going to announce the Wii with a stright face @ E3?
I miss the origional project name already!
From Nintendo:
Introducing … Wii.
As in “we.”
While the code-name “Revolution” expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer.
Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else.
Wii will put people more in touch with their games … and each other. But you’re probably asking: What does the name mean?
Wii sounds like “we,” which emphasizes this console is for everyone.
Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.
Wii has a distinctive “ii” spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play.
And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of video games that sets it apart from the crowd.
So that’s Wii. But now Nintendo needs you.
Because, it’s really not about you or me.
It’s about Wii.
And together, Wii will change everything.

Heres the direct link if your Browser Sucks.
This is an amazingly careful re-creation of the bottom half of the final inning of game 6 of the 1986 World Series. The infamaous half-inning moment Red Sox fans everywhere will never forget, can now be *enjoyed* through one of the greatest NES games ever: RBI Baseball.
Seriously, the attention to detail here is amazing. I can only imagine how long this guy took to re-create it accurately.
After you oogle at it, be sure to visit his blog to show your appreciation for this amazing bit of machinima.

Let the E3 Hype CONTINUE!
Here’s a look at what EA is bringing to the table.
Man.. they all look awesome. I feel a good gaming year coming up.

This promotion site seems to indicate so.
The question is.. how much will this be simply a remake.. and how much will be a new addition to the SMB franchise.

A fellow Monkey asked Jordan and myself about Oblivion a week or so ago, and we couldn’t reccommend it to him fast enough. Well he emailed us yesterday and I found it so amusing, I decided to post his mail, and my response to him on the site.
Do you remember seeing those fat guys on Jerry
Springer? you know the ones that need to have walls
removed so they can get out of the house? Well that’s
going to be me in a couple of weeks because for the
last 48 hours straight (almost), I have been playing
Oblivion and it’s all your fault. I actually took a
sick day today so I could get up at 6 am and play.
This game is awesome I tell you. As you know I am not
an RPG kind of fellow but I’m loving this.
A couple of questions:
-Are lockpicks really that hard to find? Where can you
buy them?
-Am I better off completing the main quest and then
heading off to do my own thing? I feel like I have ADD
at the moment because there is sooo much shit going
on.
-Am I going to get butt sores sitting in my office
chair for 8 hours at a time?
Thanks. dave.
My response:
Dude..
I konw the feeling… this rainy wekeend…. ALL OBLIVION!
-Are lockpicks really that hard to find? Where can you
buy them?
Lockpicks are around.. in containers and such.. as well as for sale from fences in the thieve’s brotherhood, but the best thing to do is get to level 10.. and get yourself the “skeleton key” which is an unbreakable lockpick.

-Am I better off completing the main quest and then
heading off to do my own thing? I feel like I have ADD
at the moment because there is sooo much shit going
on.
I was going all..crazy… I am currently level 15 or so.. and i didnt get on the main plot until like.. level 8.. then i stopped for a bit from level 10 - 13ish.. and now Im trying to stay on the main plot. Wait. thats a lie.. i just spent the wekeend like a maniac working on EACH mage’s guild’s reccommendation so I could get into the arcane university.. which rocks.. cuz now i can make my own spells or enchantments on items. OH.. and I bought my own house in Leyawiin. Ok.. so the main plot is there when you want to follow it… I dont think its right or wrong either way to continue on it.. or leave it be. And I think that only by proceeding along the main plot do you alter the world around you. (If you dont konw what I mean by that.. maybe you should go on the main plot just a tad.. and watch the fireworks! )
In the end.. I say do what draws you. If while you’re on the way to do something, you become embroiled in a quest to rid the local Town of some ner-do-wells… or perhaps you get all caught up in your quest to join the Thieve’s Guild.. which doesn’t exist *cough*. I think its all YOUR story.. and thats what makes this game rock so much.
-Am I going to get butt sores sitting in my office
chair for 8 hours at a time?
You might want to get up and stretch out. And look far away while you do it (helps reduce eye strain). Oh.. and there have been stories of people dying from blood clots in their legs that form from sitting on your ass. But I think thats rare… I hope thats rare. I’m going to go for a walk now.. see you in a bit.
So there it is. Not a week goes by, and another person is Lost to Oblivion.
I think what makes this game so amazing for us at Monkeygames is that everyone who plays it has their own story. My character has done a plethora of quests and some of the main line, and at this point , when hes not relaxing in his shanty home in Leyawiin, he’s summoning giant crocodile men and shooting ice balls at people.
Meanwhile, fellow monkey Chris, has the same class (battlemage), and yet, his story is wholly different! He’s some kind of assassin and thief, oh.. and hes a vampire! Some of his adventures have been great to hear about.
If you have been on the fence about this game. Its time to get into the yard. Pick it up on PC or XBOX 360, and be ready to play one of the best RPG time sucks to come along in some time.

The gameplay will take the same approach as the game’s story and build off of the original-game’s mechanics by including new ways to murder your foes, as well as all-new mechanics such as the flying levels seen in the trailer. Look for more on God of War II May 9
It’s part of this Gamespot Pre E3 story on the game. Oh baby, God of War makes me happy.

One of the wonderful things about this already wonderful game, is that it has the ability to take mods!
Slashdot posted today about a little roundup that Planet Elder Scrolls has put together of the top 10 mods out now.
While the better looking gold coins are interesting, I am thinking the saddle bags for my horse are a MUST. Oh.. and say hello to a new sexy map!
Best of all, they dont cost “Points”.

You Decide
From Orc and Ogre blood did the mighty race of the Mok’Nathal rise. The prospering warriors prided themselves over their attunement with nature and their daunting presence on the battlefield when faced with anyone unwise enough to test their wrath. Boasting both Orc cunning and Ogre might, the half breeds were considered noble warriors amongst both the Orc and Ogre clans. Their standing amongst both races soon cascaded with the coming of demonic magic and with it the might of the powerful demigods of the Ogre race. Recognized only as the Gronn, the power the seven of them wielded was unequaled throughout Draenor. The Gronn cared little for their own children, let alone other races they felt to be inferior. With their odium came their intolerance towards the Orcs, whose blood flew through the veins of the Mok’Nathal.
The fact that the Ogres would dare bring impurities to their bloodline angered their demigods, who hunted down all Mok’Nathal and tormented them relentlessly. Their own Ogre brethren were forced by the almighty Gronn to help purify the lineage and pursued the half breeds with there godly masters; forcing the Mok’Nathal to turn to the Orcs for haven from their chase. Sadly, the demonic magic the Orcs gained hold of contorted their judgment and manner, making them apprehensive and mistrusting towards their cousins.
Their only hope to survive was to take flight from the smoldering world which only became an option when Medivh opened the Dark Portal, linking the Orcs blood lusted warriors to Azeroth. Lead by Tagar Bearclaw and Rexxar the Beast Master, the Mok’Nathal traded one hell for another. Where they were no longer hounded by the Ogre’s demigods, they were now being killed on sight when ever crossing paths with the now senseless Orcs.
Tagar Bearclaw refused to recognize what now looked like fate and instead ordered what remained of his clan to fashion together makeshift rafts and journey across the Great Sea. Their extensive expedition landed them on the coasts of Kalimdor, and their battered clan, now safe from both the mindless Orcs and the immortal Gronn, was finally able to rebuild their once grand domain. Rexxar, who was renowned for his valor when faced with the Gronn and left to die after vicious torturing, left the clan to take up a nomadic life and live amongst what he believed to be his closest ally; nature.
The Mok’Nathal, troubled with the fact that several of their brethren still wandered the burning world of Draenor, swore to liberate them from the Gronn’s relentless hunt and take retribution for their brother’s deaths. Refusing to side with the ally they needed the most when first faced with their enemy gods took up arms with the Night Elves and their Allies, who willingly accepted them into their ranks when presented with the knowledge that the Blood Elves had sided with the vile Horde.
Alkhol’Nathal would offer the half breeds with the shelter of a city rivaling the prominence of the one they left behind when fleeing from the world that damned them to the isolation of Azeroth. Situated North West of the Barrens, the lands of Lashindow connected the forests of Ashenvale to the Stonetalon Mountains and offered the Alliance a slight edge against the Horde’s forces.

The Onion
has a hilarious letter from a lovestruck WoW player trying to call back their one true Night Elf, Helen.
When we met, I was looking for a group fit to take the Zul’Gurub instance. But as I stocked up on provisions at the convenience store before my quest, and our eyes locked, I realized that I was not looking for a group, I was looking for love, and I found it in you. You are the sun, the moon, the Cinderhide Armsplints of the Monkey. There is so much we have to offer one another. Unfailing loyalty, a Strength of 250, someone who can go out for snacks in the heat of battle. Can’t you see we’re made for each other?
…
Please, baby, if you leave, you will increase by 32 percent the chance of doing direct damage to my heart. Please reconsider.
THATS comedy.
